Leadership Training

Fellows Program

This nine-month leadership training program is for those considering church planting in New York City within the next 2-3 years. The program provides a focused exposure to urban ministry experiences, exploring topics such as theological vision, gospel framework and renewal, ministry longevity, and discipleship.

Who is Fellows For?

Fellows Program candidates are men and women who are developed in a contextualized learning environment that prepares them further for church planting in NYC. This program is ideal in that it allows a two-three year runway of concentrated, specialized training to allow future planters to invest intentionally in their spiritual, personal, leadership, and ministry development.

Fellows course work centers on

Jesus A return to Jesus and lessons on incarnational church planting

Gospel Renewal, Gospel resiliency and spiritual practices for humble leadership

Mission Prayer, evangelism and discipleship for kingdom impact

Team Developing a core team shaped by the Gospel and equipped for missional living

Ideal Candidates

  • Ordained or on an ordination track
  • Affiliated with a church planting network, denomination and/or existing church
  • Exploring a sense of calling to church planting
  • Have proven character and integrity
  • Have prior ministry experience
  • A resident of NYC by the start of the training program

Incubator Collective

This two-year program is ideal for equipping fulltime and co-vocational church planters to thrive while ministering in unique urban contexts.

Who is Incubator For?

The Incubator Collective is a church planting program designed to train church planters and replanters serving in New York City’s five boroughs, as well as New York City-facing urban centers. The program combines elements of City to City’s proven church planting curriculum with new insights from multicultural leaders who understand the nuances of ministry in New York’s boroughs.

Program Structure

Flexible Schedules Incubator is configured to support full-time and co-vocational church planters working in center city, gentrifying, and marginalized communities.

Theologically Informed Thinking and Praxis A curriculum that engages the head, heart, and hands, encouraging critical thinking and reflection to deepen your spiritual cultural awareness and missional engagement.

Gospel Community and Support Resources A time for planters to get to know each other and bring the challenges they face to the learning community for support and counsel.

Equipping through New Skill and Tools Sessions will strengthen church planting core competencies with practical tools that planters can apply uniquely to their context.

  1. Yes, the Incubator Collective program is currently available in select cities worldwide through City to City and affiliated networks. However, the details of the program differ in each city.   2. Incubator Collective is offered during both the day and evening in New York City, meeting in a central location in order to serve all five boroughs as well as Spanish-speaking leaders.

Shenaya Dias Classroom & Student Success Coordinator, City Ministry Program

Shenaya Dias works for Redeemer City to City as the Classroom and Student Success.

Coordinator for the City Ministry Program (CMP) at Redeemer City to City. She is originally from Negombo, Sri Lanka, but she has been in New York for the past four years. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics, Pre-Law from Fordham University. Prior to this position, Shenaya worked as a Paralegal Specialist for the US Department of Justice in Manhattan. She is also an unreached prayer writer for the Joshua Project. A fun fact about Shenaya, she used to be a competitive Ocean/Sea Swimmer back in Sri Lanka. Some of her hobbies include playing the piano and traveling.
