Resources for Work Disruption Related to COVID-19

The Global Faith & Work Initiative, a ministry of Redemer City to City, is committed to helping pastors and ministry leaders equip their people to do God’s work in the world. Their resource page is frequently updated with resources for work disruption related to COVID-19. Below is an excerpt from this page.

COVID-19 Work Disruption Tool

We have created a tool for helping church and ministry leaders plan pastoral care for those who have experienced work disruption from the COVID-19 crisis. The hope of the gospel is unilateral although it needs to be applied differently to varying needs. This tool will help you identify the different categories of work disruption and anticipate the needs of those in each group. To fully engage this tool, join our April 30th webinar with GFWI Executive Director Missy Wallace.

A Personal Devotional

We have crafted a 15-day devotional for this unique time in the hope that it will encourage you to allow God to speak into every aspect of your life today. Scripture passages highlight people who were called by the Lord to do difficult and sometimes seemingly impossible things. Our hope is that in this difficult time you will experience new and unexpected mercies–evidence of God’s faithfulness and love for you.

Mental Health Care During Isolation Article

In a recent newsletter survey, we asked constituents to tell us what the employment shifts around COVID-19 had meant for them. Survey respondents said fear and anxiety around already losing a job or potentially losing work were the greatest concerns. If this anxiety is a reality for you or those in your ministry, we encourage you to read our Mental Health Care During Isolation article with resources to aid in healthy self-care.
